Dog Training in English – Puppy & Young Dog Classes in Amsterdam. Welcome to our friendly and effective dog school, where we specialize in puppy training and basic obedience for young dogs, all taught in small groups with clear instructions in English and Dutch.

Our puppy training classes are designed to help your puppy build confidence, learn essential life skills, and develop good manners from the start. In this course, your puppy will learn:
- Basic obedience and socialization
- Positive reinforcement techniques
- Loose leash walking & recall training
- Appropriate play
- How to handle common puppy behaviors like mouthing, jumping, potting
Practical Information
- Number of lessons: 8 group sessions on Saturday or Sunday
- Duration: 1 hour per session
- Course fee: €268
Your puppy does not need to be fully vaccinated to join the puppy course — as long as they have received their initial vaccinations at 6 and 9 weeks, they are welcome to participate. We follow the AVSAB Position Statement On Puppy Socialization and vaccinations>>
Basic Obedience for Young Dogs (from ± 20 weeks old)
For adolescent dogs who missed early training or need a refresher, our young dog course focuses on:
- Training basic obedience commands
- Strengthening recall and leash manners
- Reducing pulling and jumping
- Building impulse control and focus
- Encouraging calm behavior in public settings
- Practicing polite play and interactions

Introductory Session (Required for New Participants)
If your dog has not previously attended a puppy course or group training, an introductory session is required before starting the Basic Course. This private session helps your young dog learn a few essential foundation skills and allows them to explore the training location calmly and confidently — off-leash and without distractions.
